This Cookie Policy explains how Foxtrot LLC (“we”, “our”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on foxtrotllc.com.
Read it alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information generally. Our Synops product website has its own Cookie Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device so it can recognise the device on a later request. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixels, which do the same job by different means. This policy covers all of them.
Cookies set by foxtrotllc.com are first party cookies. Cookies set by another domain when its content loads are third party cookies.
Cookies are either session cookies, deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.
2. Our approach
foxtrotllc.com uses strictly necessary cookies only. These are required for the site to function and to keep it secure, and they cannot be switched off through a consent banner because the site will not work correctly without them.
We do not use cookies to build a profile of you, to follow you across other websites, or to serve advertising.
3. Cookies we set
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID | Strictly necessary, first party, session | Maintains your session state while you move between pages | Until browser is closed |
wordpress_sec_* | Strictly necessary, first party | Authenticates administrative users and protects the admin area. Set only if you log in | Session, or 14 days if “remember me” is selected |
wordpress_logged_in_* | Strictly necessary, first party | Indicates that an administrative user is logged in. Set only if you log in | Session, or 14 days if “remember me” is selected |
wp-settings-* and wp-settings-time-* | Strictly necessary, first party | Stores interface preferences for logged in administrative users | 12 months |
fx_consent | Strictly necessary, first party | Records your response to the cookie notice so we do not show it again | 6 months |
Names ending in * include a site specific hash generated by WordPress.
If you never log in to the site, the only cookies you are likely to receive are the session cookie and the consent record.
4. What we do not use
We do not use:
- advertising or retargeting cookies;
- cross site tracking cookies or identifiers;
- third party analytics cookies, including Google Analytics;
- social media tracking pixels;
- fingerprinting techniques intended to identify your device without cookies.
We do not sell or share information collected by cookies, and we do not use it for cross context behavioural advertising or targeted advertising.
If this changes, we will update this policy, present a consent banner before any non essential cookie is set, and record your choice.
5. Embedded content and outbound links
Some pages link to third party services, including SAP Business Network, LinkedIn and synops.org. We do not embed third party trackers in our pages, but if you follow a link, the destination site sets its own cookies under its own policy. Check that site’s cookie notice before continuing.
6. Email
Our newsletter is sent through an email service provider. Where the provider uses an open or click indicator, it is used to measure delivery and engagement in aggregate and to keep our list accurate. You can prevent open tracking by disabling remote images in your email client, and you can unsubscribe using the link in any message.
7. Managing cookies
You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third party cookies
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions
Deleting cookies removes your saved consent record, so any notice will appear again on your next visit.
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal where applicable law requires it. Because we do not sell or share personal information or use targeted advertising, the signal has no additional effect on this site.
8. Legal bases
Where the EU or UK ePrivacy rules apply, strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because they are required to deliver a service you have requested. Any other cookie would be set only with your consent, which you could withdraw at any time.
Where US state privacy law applies, our use of cookies falls outside the definitions of sale, sharing and targeted advertising.
9. Changes
We review this policy at least annually and whenever we change the technologies on the site. Material changes take effect on the date shown at the top of this page, and we will give notice on the site before any non essential cookie is introduced.
